Redoute Botanical Print - Sunflowers

This beautiful botanical print was painted by Pierre-Joseph Redouté(1759-1840 ) and is courtesy of Rawpixel Ltd. This image has a Creative Commons license (2.0) and you can do anything you want with it as long as you attribute the artist and Rawpixel who did the image restoration.

Antique Apple Botanical Print

This is another gorgeous botanical print from the US Dept. of Agriculture. Artist is Elsie Lower, and this watercolor was done in 1908.

Vintage Strawberry Print

This gorgeous strawberry watercolor print was illustrated by Ellen Isham Schutt in 1911 and was part a project started by the US Government beginning in 1886 - 1940s to commission 7,500 paintings and sculptures of every known fruit. It made jobs available to about 65 American artists to “document the thousands and thousands of varieties of heirloom and experimental fruit cultivars sprouting up nationwide.” The fruit watercolors were made public domain by the US Department of Agriculture.

This is a late 19th century raisin label. Who knew there used to be raisin vineyards! This design is so elegant. I love the grape leaf border, and of course I always love roses!! This scan is a little grainy, sorry - but it will print fine. Free to download for personal use!

I'm a little late again today. I took my horse out for a ride before it got hot. He was actually more interested in staying with his friends and munching grass, and he let me know that several times on the walk :-) He has built in barn GPS!!!

I love this Raphael Tuck postcard. Raphael Tuck & Sons, based in London, was the world's largest postcard publisher during the late 19th and early 20th century. They also made wonderful children's books, and when I find some, I'll post them for you.

His animal postcards are beautiful. Hope you like this one! I put it on an aged background for you.
