Victorian Girl

Another Victorian scrap from the big pile on my floor! This one features a girl with what might be a shell held to her ear, but it might also be a cell phone? Hope you can use it!

Victorian Scrap - Ladies and Roses

I made a little collage sheet for you today with some late 1800 ladies, and roses. Scrapbooks were popular in the late Victorian era into the early 1900s. Germany was a huge supplier of beautifully printed, embossed scrap pages that were sold in stationery shops. The pieces were attached by thin strips of paper to make them easy to cut out. The bits were glued into large books. There are lots of old scrapbooks for sale on Ebay if you'd ever like to see what they looked like!

The Victorians loved scraps! If you ever get a chance to look at some of the old scrapbooks, they are filled with beautiful, strange, and wonderful paper bits similar to this piece. Most of the old scraps were made in Germany, like this rose. I added a slightly aged background. This would make a pretty card. Free to download for personal use.
I take requests! If there is an image that you are looking for let me know!
