Vintage Can Label - Butterfly Brand Beans

I didn't know that I had this label, it's amazing what happens when you clean! Olney and Floyd sold canned goods in the very early 1900s and the label art is amazing. You've probably seen their pumpkin label, but the bean one is just as pretty.

I enlarged this a bit, the original label is pretty small.

Maude Humphrey illustrated this very pretty trade card. The back is filled with text saying things like "for the price of a daily cigar, you too can have an insurance policy"!

Vintage Halloween Witch Postcard - Red Lantern

I have a lot of favorite Halloween postcards, but this is near the top of the list. Published by Landsdorf in early 1900's, this is part of a series of lantern witches. Each postcard has a witch with a different color lantern, and what your fate will be if you happen to see her.

These postcards are really hard to find in good condition. They were embossed I believe, and there's usually lots of chipping. Most of the ones I've found are too damaged for me to restore properly, but this one was in great shape.

They also had glitter, and you can see remnants around the witch and the moon. I'm always on the hunt for the other lantern colors!
