Vintage Postcard - Girls Sledding

This gorgeous, embossed postcard of girls out sledding is full of color. I'm not sure of the date, but it's likely to be pretty early. Makes me kind of wish for snow (only a little...let's be honest).

This winter birds in the snow postcard was originally a French New Year card, but I altered it so it can be used throughout the winter. I love it, it is so pretty. I hope you can use it!

Birds in Winter Merit Card

This pretty birds in winter card was a school reward card given to children who had perfect attendance. Kids used to get merit cards for being good students, and lots of them found their way into scrapbooks. The artist is James Russel Lowell, and it's dated 1906.

We had the first snow here yesterday, it was pretty messy but the kids loved it! Pretty much like the ones in this postcard. Published by Raphael Tuck and illustrated by AL Bowley.
